Life's Like a Box of Chocolates...

So there I was, minding my own business in bed, when Jake decides that the blankets should be folded down instead of all the way up. After he pulled it down and laid down in his perfect spot he just made, I pulled it back up to annoy him. It worked, and he moved it back. I moved it again, he did too, and then I caught it on video the 4th time. Lol he is a very stubborn boy. Also it's funny that the way he pulls the blanket also looks like he's humping...lol

Look at Josie's face! haha she missed me a little I guess! (I swear they're just like humans.)

I dropped in on a random nail salon for a color change and decided to never go back because of how bad it was. (Also entertained the idea of obliterating them in horrible reviews on the internet) But the good news is, I conquered my irrational fear of red nail polish and it's connection with you being a "hussy."

The following is the most embarrassing and horrific, yet completely hilarious and unique picture that's ever been taken.
Yes, that is my neck.
Dallin died laughing when he spotted that random "long-ey" because of the perfect angle of the sun in the car. Since I'll never live it down anyway, might as well laugh about it.

I found an excellent deal on ebay and used a gift card to get a dog stroller for my kids! I am sooooo excited! It's a double wide version so they can both ride together. (And it's so fetchin' cute!)

This was right after we set it up. (I know I'm wearing that one-sie in half the pictures I put on here, but I figure all 5 of you who are reading this won't judge. And if you are, you've obviously never felt the freedom, comfort, and warmth of true footie pajamas.)

I'm weird about "my kids," but they bring so much joy to my life that I just don't care at all. I love, love, love them, and that's what life should be all about. Happiness, love, family, and whatever it is that makes you tick.

The Flanigan family motto is, "You gotta be whatcha is, cuz if ya be whatcha ain't, then ya ain't whatcha is."
Not the most scientific of explainations, but I've found it to be spot on.

Sometimes it's good to just stop running in this crazy rat-race and remind yourself why any of it even matters.
Food for thought.

Busy Busy Bees!

It has been such a crazy week! We've both been crazy with lots of different things.
Good news! I applied for graduation and was approved!

I realized that this Christmas might break the bank with all 27 names for just our immediate family. I'm getting together with one of my besties Rachael to hopefully make most of the presents. Fun and cost effective!

The kids had a day in the spa! Gettin' the hurr did! Here's before...

 And AFTER!!!
It was fall break last week, and that was sooo nice. I was very productive, so it didn't feel like a vacation, but it was so nice to stay home and catch up on my to-do list that was piling up. Jakey and I went on a run together and it was such a beautiful day and very therapuetic. (Love the pumpkin feilds and fall colors in the mountains.)

Okay, I cannot figure out how to flip this so that it shows the right way! They are best friends and they have so much fun together. Jakey was so lonely before we got Josie. They're the so cute when they play together.

 Just watchin' tv with dad!
I finally finished sending out all the Thank you cards! I hope they got to all of you! We really appreciate everything that our loved ones did to make our day everything we dreamed of.

Caught Jakey taking selfies on my computer!

 Love this fall nail color

Now that my beloved Prison Break is over (sad ending by the way) I have been watching the Big Bang Theory. It is so funny!

For flash back friday tomorrow, this is a good video. Dallin and I made this probably around May 2013. So funny. I had just finished working out so don't judge.

We saw this movie and BOTH loved it. Yes, Dallin actually likes chick-flicks. He said if we would have watched that at home he would have cried. (And he has from chick-flicks before...one of the many things I love about him! lol)

I wanted to give a shout-out to Isagenix for helping me to look and feel great for Miss Utah and the wedding this last summer. If you haven't ever heard of it, it's something you've got to try. It's so good for you, that you feel amazing because you're getting all the nutrients that you need. It also helps you lose weight or gain muscle depending on what you use/ what your goals are.
It helps a lot with losing baby weight because you will still get all the nutrients you need for breast-feeding and you'll still have the energy you need to be a mom.
Interested? Here's the link to buy some shakes or bars and try it for yourself.

So far with the battle of sicknesses at a public school, I am winning! (Isagenix helps me with my immunity because of how healthy it is, and how vitamin-and-mineral-packed it is!) I've heard that every student teacher or first year teacher picks up every virus going around until you develop a strong immune system, but I've handled it like a champ so far! This, along with Isagenix, has been my secret. I have felt them coming on before, but I've beaten them before they've started.
This is how I feel. Tired!

We made it to the end of the week!
Have a good, safe weekend!

October Begins...

Happy October!!
October 8th was my dad's 54th birthday! He is exactly 30 years older than me, and we were both born in Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.
I sent this to him on his birthday, as well as "They say it's your birthday" by the Beatles.

Dallin's birthday was the 14th, and he turned 26! He got some gifts from his reps at work, I surprised him when he got home, and we spent all day Monday together. Here are some of the festivities!
(You'll notice most have to do with food...he's a simple guy who loves his food.)
For his birthday, he got a bunch of gift cards because he wants to go clothes shopping for his presents. (haha such a girl. he always wants clothes)

We watched his fav. shows, he played his fav. video game, and we went to his favorite restaurants. (Including Applebees, Zaxby's, and Twigs)

This is how we spent our Saturday morning! The new buyers for the house wanted the whole yard to have grass, so we laid sod. BIG thanks to Matthew and all the others who came to help us. It went by pretty quick with all the help we had.

I recently found out one of my besties is having a baby girl! (Can't name names ;)
I got so excited for her, that I decided I'm going to make her all these things. (or try...)
We're going to make the headbands together. I want a baby girl so bad!!! I feel like everyone is having babies. I'm sure the baby craze will end soon for me. It always does haha
I love my new Miche bag! The other shell finally came and I love it! It was so easy to switch! I want more! If you're interested in getting a miche bag, here's the link!    https://lisapeters.miche.com/Home

I am making most of the christmas presents we're giving this year, and one of them is a photo cube. I simply painted the cube, printed out pictures, and mod podged them on.

I miss getting my nails done! To attempt to fill the void in my life (it seriously might be an addiction) I do my own nails a little too often. And I am getting better at not biting my nails anymore!

Another project I'm doing soon & I'm stoked about! Tile coasters!

Poor Jakey & Josie needed shots. Josie took it like a champ, and Jake freaked out like a baby. Josie's used to being in pain unfortunately :(
She has a torn ACL and a displaced patella and needs surgery.

I thought this was funny and true about our culture.
Our bedroom is coming together! I got the curtains, a new lamp shade, and we hung a shelf above the bed. Now I'm making decorations to go on that shelf and then it will be done! It's paris themed, and I love it! This is one of the pics that will go up
We hung this cute vinyl the other day too!
Just me chillin in a onesie, cuddlin' with my kids. Nbd. :)

Dallin is doing really well at work, and thankfully, I've been doing really well on my evaluations lately. I've had 4 so far, and all of them I've done really well and gotten compliments. Hope the trend continues, I have 4 more to go!

When we were in Hawaii on our honeymoon, we got a disposable camera and took these. We just barely got it developed, and here they are! I want to go back!

I finally got the CD from Miss Utah of the pictures. It was soooo overpriced. But it was an amazing experience, and I wanted to have those memories.

Hope you are having a great day!
